Senior XI Home Page
It has been the club's aim over the last few seasons to begin a Senior XI team. This dream became reality in March 2007 when AFC Hiltingbury was accepted into the Southampton Football League. Due to the quality of the players that had already committed to play for the team, many of whom had played for the club at Tyro and Youth level, we were immediately placed into Division 2, there are 7 divisions in teh Saturday league!. Our aim this season is quite simple: to the win league and reach at least one cup final.
For the club, it is wonderful for all our younger players to see an AFC Hiltingbury team competing on a Saturday in an adult league. Within the 20 man squad are 4 players from our current U18 team and 3 players who completed their last season in youth football in April. So all can see there will be opportunities for our younger players!!
In Andy Samuels we have a manager that has already committed 7 seasons to coaching an AFC Hiltingbury: the current U18 have benefited from Andy's knowledge and enthusiasm in his role as team coach over the last 7 years!!
Andy has assembled an exceptional squad of young(ish) players that are committed to playing the game in the Hiltingbury way: excellent sportmanship, fair play and good flowing passing football and a long term committment to the club.
We all eagerly await the first league game!!
